So this morning Im feeding Blossom her treats and brushing her and I thought I heard a burp, so I gave her another treat and brushed her and again a burp then I realized wait a minute bunnies dont burp and I realized it was a grunt.  My daughter tells me mama leave her alone she wants her space.  Its pretty bad when a 6 year old knows more than you!!  I was so mad at her  Wheres the respect!! LOL

My netherland grunts at me all the time. I just have to laugh at him…I know that’s disrespectful too, but it’s so funny coming from such a small little rabbit.

Heheh I have a netherland dwarf and he growls quite a bit when he’s in a mood. He weighs a pound and a half so I have to laugh too.

My first bunny Bunsen used to grunt all the time, it was just his noise of choice. Even when he would be running out to see me, he would grunt the whole way. I never took it as a sign that he wanted space, since he would do it while he was running over to get on my lap for pets! I just found it adorable.

well since Im a new rabbit owner I don’t know what to make out of their noises yet.  But I was told when they grunt it usually is followed by a bite!!  Im so scared of the bite!!  I think for now if she grunts I will let her be.  Im assuming it was a warning since I was brushing her and she hates to be brushed.  I had a maltese that hated to be brushed and he would growl and lunge at me but never bit me it was just a warning.  but besides that he was a sweet heart of a dog.

My Goblin has grunted at me twice, once when I was touching his litter box, and another when he was trying to break the gate down and I was pushing his head away lol.

When he grunts at me he has never bitten me, instead he headbutts.

Sometimes a grunt can be followed by a bite. Sometimes it’s followed by a lunge at you. Sometimes it’s just a grunt of disapproval.

I have only gotten bit twice. It was a grunt fallowed by a lung and then I stuck my hand by him again to see what would happen and he bit me :-/ So it was really my fault. Mocha grunts ALL the time. Every time he hops up to me he does soft little grunts and when I am petting Lulu he runs over grunting and then puts his head on her butt and looks like ” Keep your hands off my girl!” LOL its so cute/ funny!

Oh yes, grunting. I know that sound all too well! Grunts around here are usually followed with a both bun feet coming at me. Silly bunnies.

Wooly really only grunts when I’m brushing him. Sometimes when he sees the carrier, but it’s usually a thump instead of a grunt in that case. Wooly does bite at the brush or sometimes he will bite my shirt. I don’t think his intention is to hurt me. He’s just annoyed to telling me so. Leopold is the real biter, but he never grunts. LOL

I have never heard Nava grunt… but Domino is a pro. She grunts at me, at the rats, at the cat at the dogs. She just hates everything. Lol.

I have only heard my Netherland grunt once… and that was when my little bunny slide down the stairs into her. My rabbit I had when I was a kid used to grunt and charge all the time, gave me a slight fear that one day my arm was going to get ripped off lol.
