        Hello All

So my bunny is 3 months old and Ive only had her for a little while now. Ive been havings unlimited timothy hay, and pellets available throughout the day. Then in the morning and at night i give her about 1/2 cup of lettuce, parsley, and a small carrot. She seems to eat all the veggies when i put them in and none are left, so i think its a good amount.

Any suggestions ive read some stuff about babies having alfalfa…..

        Thanks.

Alfalfa is only good for babies or very young bunnies, who subsequently have to be weaned off of it. It’s not a problem to skip giving them alfalfa if they are eating the timothy hay well. It kind of fattens them up, but makes an older bunny too fat.
You can try alfalfa cubes, which are like treats that they can chew on so it’s a big snack toy for their teeth, and see if she likes it. But if you don’t introduce alfalfa you won’t be harming your bunny. It sounds like you have a good diet for her as it is.

I used to eat unlimited alfalfa hay&pellets when i was 2-5months old. I never got to eat mah veggies until i was 5 months old. After that i started eating timothy hay &timothy pellets with a cup of veggies. now im 7 months old and i get timothy hay and 1/4 cup of alfalfa pewwets+ 2 cups of veggies!!alfalfa is unnecessary but you can get it because its fattie delicious. Now im too old to eat alfalfa hay but i still got a bit of alfalfa pellets!

I’ve read Alfalfa is really only for young bunnies or old ones that need to put on weight. I’ve only ever given mine alfalfa once, and that was because Petsmart was out of all the other hays ( as usual, they really need to stock more than 6 bags ).
