So I work full time and I get home at 5:30, then I have homework.

I have bunny proofed my room, so how much time out of the cage aday does she need to bounce around. Its not a giant cage probabcy 3feet long and 2 feet wide.

        Thanks!

I try to give my bunny at least 5 hours. I use to let him run free all day until he decided that the carpet needed to be ripped up, now he is confined to the kitchen.

4 hours of play time a day is recommended.

Since your room is bunny proofed, would it be possible to leave the cage open 24/7? Typically the minimum a rest area should be is at least 8 square feet and tall enough for a bunny to stand up fully [House Rabbit Society]. I would let her have as much time outside of it as possible

If you can, let her out when you wake up (or even wake up earlier to let her out in the AM) so she gets an hour or 2 of play time, then again while you’re doing your homework until bedtime, that should be a good amount of time

I get up early to allow my bunnies to have an hour of play time at the very least before I’m out of the house. They usually get way, way more than that, though. I would say anywhere from 2-8 hours, depending on the day. I am somewhat of a homebody, however, and prefer to be at home whenever I can (obviously can’t be home all the time)… so my bunnies get lots of time out of their cage. I notice that they don’t spend all of it running around, and a lot of it just chillin’, but it makes me feel better to have them out of the cage any way, in case they want to binky, run bunny 500s, or just stretch their legs and hop around. They have an X pen to share when they’re not out and about.

Shorthand for an exercise pen, like the kind they put puppies in.  Wire, collapsable/foldable.
