I noticed that a few of Oreo’s new (short) whiskers seem to be growing in white. They are usually black. Also, some of her longer ones have turned white about halfway toward the end but are still black near the root. Actually, it’s not really white, more like translucent. It’s not many, maybe three or four total that are all or partially like that. I had a thought that maybe this happened when they grow in/get ready to fall out but have never noticed it before. Or could it be a sign of age? Just curious

As they age all kinds of color changes can happen. It’s kind of surprising to see, but once you know this happens to bunnies, it’s interesting to watch.
Take pictures so you can see before and after. Some bunnies change colors more than others, at any age.

That’s pretty awesome. I notice thane’s fur has changed colour in certain places. Pam, your bun has very similar colourings to mine!

              Emmie,
Your bun has more traditional English Spot face markings than mine, but mine was a mixed breed so yours might not be. Very cute of course.

Sammy must have stolen his. Hers are twice as long and twice as many as any I’ve ever seen! I had a mini rex before her, and they were little rough squiggly things. She can feel something from 2″ away. The little Diva.

Oreo’s fur does change colors when she molts. Her fur turns a little more brown than black, I guess I never thought about her whiskers changing too. Bunnies are so surprising
