So, while reading around the bunny info section, I came across the spay/neuter material.  I found a particular piece interesting lol, it said something to the effect of ‘..a month away what to do in the meantime?’  I thought YES thats exactly it. haha.  Anyhow, apparenltly its good to get him a playtoy to hump all day?  What the heck lol. I dont want him ‘messing’ up his pen all day from bunny business!!

A bunny humping a toy won’t make a mess – it just gives them an outlet to get out the stress of hormones. Many bunnies don’t even hump stuffed toys – some groom and snuggle them while others completely ignore them.

The only “mess” would be on the toy, not in the cage… the pen wouldn’t even notice.

I might give it a try, I dont mind him loving on me, and when it turns to humping its easy to just move away from him. I do feel bad for him though, I mean animals and humans arent much different in instintual behavior. So I’m sure its pretty frustrating for him to have these urges that go unattended. Its not like he can self perform lol.

Actually, he can self perform. My bunny Spockie used to quietly sit on his platform and just hump air until he decided he was ready to stop. It didn’t make a mess and he seemed fine. If he had another option, like my ankle, he showed his preference, but otherwise, he just didn’t need anything.

A toy would be warm and cuddly for your bunny, however, so I would give him one in case he likes it.
