My bunny rabbit is 4 months old, I have had him for almost 2 months. I litter trained him the first month. He now has the run of the whole house, bunny proofed and all. He eats with excitement, he is NOT listless. BUT unlike my last 2 bunnies whom hopped and binkyed around, Romeo does not make ANY effort to hop or jump or run around, he is NOT curious at all. He is still staying in the corner that is his, with his food and hay and water and litter bucket. He hardly moves around at all. WHAT is wrong and what can be done?

Welcome. Well, not all rabbits have the same personalities.

But I would say if you have any concerns about him, you should first take him to the vet to rule out any medical problems that may be causing this. If the vet says he’s healthy, then this is probably his personality – he may just be a laid back rabbit.

I agree, I would take him for a wellness appointment.

My rabbit used to be really energetic, and now she is completely lazy..

I agree too, take him for a wellness exam. My holland lop is completely laid back and lazy! My vet said it’s actually a typical trait for lops. Our new addition August (mixed breed mutt 🙂 ) on the other hand, is all over the place, racing around, hardly staying in one spot for very long.

THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU! I will take him to vet, to rule out anything, then I might just have to accept he is a laid back and lazy bunny, LOL!

Does he seem like his vision is okay? With a bunny that is blind, they tend to stay in one familiar space, at least for awhile until they learn what is where.
