Hi there when i adopted my rabbit 4 years ago he was white and black sort of looking like a dutch rabbit. Now his coloring is white black and he is showing alot of brown now in his coloring. What is causing this?

They change their colors naturally as they get older or just from a new shed. It’s strange and one of the reasons I felt better after joining BinkyBunny because I experienced the same thing with Spockie (went from gray markings to almost black and more of them) and was confused. Not due to anything you’ve done or not done. Just that the baby bunny you took home may not resemble the adult bunny you live with.

Who will be different in another 2 years also. It’s kind of cool when you know it’s OK and expected.

In the 9 months that we’ve had Momo since bringing her home as a baby, her pattern has changed some. She gained a few more spots. It is great to look at pictures I took of her each month and see how she has changed.

My only two buns I had as babies (Kokanee and Kahlua!) changed colors as they aged. Until about one. After that they are pretty fixed I wouldn’t worry about any health problems, hope you still think he’s just as cute!

O I still think kamdyn is cute and adorable I was just wondering why his color was changing. Because he is more brown now then ever. My female sunshine is an american sable and is all brown but her color changes as well since I have had her she got some white little spots on her.
