Our new bunny, Dexter, is sitting here drinking water being super cute and all. Anyway, I keep hearing these little sounds coming from him that sound like digestive noises. Little squeaks, kind of like what you might hear in your own belly. I’m not sure if it’s digestive sounds or if he is hungry. He gets plenty of hay and he’s good on pellets and his greens. Do you ever hear your rabbit’s belly making sounds?

Peppy in particular has quite a loud tummy…I’m pretty sure it’s digestive, and nothing to worry about. My other bunnies’ tummies make the noise too, but you can only hear it when you put your ear up to them.

Sometimes my bunny makes little squeaking noises, but they aren’t from her stomach or anything they’re just her making sounds. Digestive sounds are not typically good, you should keep an eye on him. Try feeling his tummy, does it feel normal? Have you given him any new foods lately? Is he going to the bathroom like normal? But if everything seems normal than it probably just is normal ;P

His belly feels normal to me. Not lumpy or anything. He’s a lop so I was just kind of worried about if he were to get a blockage from hair. His poo is normal, round and the normal size. He isn’t eating anything new that I am aware of. I have had him for one week, so I’m kind of getting to know him still. It’s just that my little girl rarely every has noises coming from her belly. It’s definitely coming from his tummy though.

Thanks everyone! I will keep an eye on him just in case (as if I wouldn’t lol)

Bindi has a noisy belly sometimes and he makes little squeaky and gurgly sounds when he drinks too.

You could try Petromalt (the cat kind is the exact same as the rabbit), giving it to your bunny once a week in the amount the directions say. It can help make sure that things keep moving. Rabbits usually love the taste and you can give it more often during molting.

Actually hay is the absolute best thing for a rabbit’s digestion…that is what will keep your rabbit’s digestion moving more than anything else.

I’ve never heard of petromalt. He seems fine though, so I think maybe it’s just how he is. He’s also a loud drinker too.

I have heard Momo’s tummy from across the room before while she was drinking. It was mostly when she was little. Or at least I have not noticed it much lately.
