What about Emergency vets? Have you looked into them?

Has she had a runny nose a while or this has just happened? Was she eating? Is that why you think she seemed like she was choking?
Rabbits with runny gunky noses do sometimes have trouble breathing and eating can become more tricky for them also.

If she is able to clear the stuff herself that would be better. But if she’s really struggling you may have to wipe it away just to try allowing her to breath more easy. She’ll have to see a vet asap though.

i woke up this morning and gave her some pellets, she seems normal then. so i took a shower and when i came into my room i was letting her out her cage, and noticed she had a runny nose and seemed to be sneezing, she wont drink any water so i put some water on her veggies. she seemed to eat them fine but has a bit of trouble with her petllets. Right now she is sitting in her litter box grooming herself.

Grooming is good. I was worried she was choking right now. It’s hard for them to breath and eat at the same time when they’ve got a resp problem. Get her seen by your vet soon. If you suspect shes having issue with eating pellets, get her molars looked at also. I have heard that when a rabbit chokes on food they produce a copious amount of mucus and saliva bubbles out mouth and nose. Not nice!! {{{Vibes}}} for you bun!

I would call any of the vets you know that work with bunnies and see if anyone has a message saying who to call in case of an emergency. Many vets who are off on the weekend will refer a patient to an emergency service or local animal hospital. If that doesn’t work, call animal hospitals near you that are listed in the yellow pages. Ask to speak to someone who is familiar with bunnies, and see if you need to bring her in. You probably should try to get her to a vet before Monday. As I just advised someone else, even a dog/cat vet can treat a bunny in case of an emergency – or determine if there is an emergency. I would try to get a local vet on the phone at least to explain her symptoms and see if you can help at home until your vet is available or if she needs to be seen right away.
