So my main concern is Cady has been snubbing his veggies lately…he’ll eat them but kind of spread out…and this morning I noticed he was laying almost pressing his stomach to the ground…he flops a lot and normally lays in strange positions so Im not sure if I am getting worked up over nothing…He ate some pellets this morning along with hay and I saw him drinking…he was acting pretty normal otherwise…Im just not sure if I should be worried or not…

I don’t think I would panic just yet. You might try mixing up his veggies – maybe he needs more variety. I do find that with some of my rabbits some days they are more voracious eaters than others. I’m not sure what brings it on, change of seasons or just boredom, but I don’t become overly concerned right away. If it continues then I become concerned.

Not sure about the pressing down of his stomach to the ground – maybe he’s just stretching.

I think just monitor him – I notice that he is nearing a year old so there will be changes in metabolism and behavior as he ages.

Check to see if his poos are normal, also.
I’m wondering if the stomach flattening is due to gas. Some of his veggies might not be agreeing with him. Try fewer, and gentler greens for a couple of days and see if he changes. Green leaf lettuce is my favorite bland green of choice. Also, sprigs of mint are good and good on a tummy.

parsley and green leaf are his favorites so Ive been sticking to them, yesterday after posting this I gave him a belly rub which he actually seemed to enjoy and after I havent seen him doing the weird laying position anymore and he last night and this morning he pigged out on his parsley and greenleaf….Im thinking maybe he had a bit of gas? I should mention I found a bag of dried papaya him and sophie must have stolen and who knows how much they each had the bag is still pretty full but I cant be sure so maybe too many treats upset his tummy?
