Right now Tillie and Toby have run of a large game room and one bedroom (upstairs). Then I have a baby gate in the door way and Smudge has run of hallway, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. We spend a lot of time in the game room. I feel badly that Smudge is alone a lot. So, I was thinking of switching places, putting T&T where Smudge is and Smudge having run of where T&T have been. If I did this, would there be a lot of marking? I have carpet upstairs, so peeing on my carpet is really not ideal (in lots of different areas). I can spot clean, but don’t want it getting out of hand. Would love your thoughts.

There would probably be some marking and T&T has had issues with their litterbox habits already, so would probably make that worse I would think. Stickers marks when she’s allowed in the living room because it smells like Powder. Powder marks when he’s allowed in her room because it smells like her. But they just leave droppings, not urine, that ONLY goes in the litter boxes. But every bun is different and yours spray to mark, don’t they? I would think they would get over it pretty quickly though if it was a permanent switch.

Thanks Stickerbunny. There does not seem to be any spraying, I just find little urine puddles. The last day or so the urine marking has stopped. I woke up this morning to fine NONE in T&T’s condo! Yay!! I just feel so badly for Smudge. He loves being around us (he is such a people bunny) and at least T&T have each other. I am pretty sure Smudge will be staying, so I plan to eventually try and bond all 3.

Luvmyhunybuny, i’m going through the exact same thoughts with Coconut. I feel so bad that he’s by himself! Just one more month till his neuter and a few weeks for healing and the bonding begins… can’t wait! We are definitely in the same boat!

Yes we are! I try and spend as much time as I can with Smudge, but it is hard. It breaks my heart when I look over at the baby gate and see him peeking through wanting to join us. I just hope they all bond well. I simply cannot part with the little guy! He will be getting neutered at the end of this month. Then 2 weeks to heal well. We will have to share bonding stories!

I’m thinking of moving Coconut’s neuter date sooner but I still can’t see his “bits”. I’m pretty sure its there but he’s pretty furry so I can’t see clearly. He’s actually been a little crazy lately! Digging like crazy…I’ve tried covering with NIC grids, smaller pieces of carpet, spraying perfume, even covering the grids with tin foil- but nothing is working! He’s still my little love bug, but the digging is driving me nuts!

Good luck to you..can’t wait to hear about your bonding….
