I have noticed Toby’s urine is an orange/red color. I have been told it could be diet or stress. Thoughts?

Thats normal for rabbits, their pee color can change with different different veggies. What kind of food are you feeding him?

            Mocha~

He is eating Oxbow timothy pellets (limited), orchard, botanical and timothy hay and his greens ( mixture of romaine, green leaf, red leaf, cilantro, parsley) and carrots a few times a week.

the carrots tend to make my bunnies urine orange too. it sounds like you’re giving Toby a great diet, so I wouldn’t worry or anything. =]

Mine almost never get carrots but their urine is almost always that color.

I’ve never heard it could be stress..hmm. Do you have a link for that? I’m wondering how that would work…

But I would say diet-anything with red or orange color-peppers, beat leaves, red leaf lettuce -all that can make urine orange

I read the stress reason on several sites. Here is one –

                      http://www.peteducation.com/article…p;aid=2839

The thing is, he and Tillie eat the same thing and her’s is yellow. They hate peppers, so they never get those. No beat leaves, red leaf on occasion. Minimal carrots. Toby is my over cecal producer too. He likes to stress mommy out
