a few months ago both by bunnies had a operation to get their teeth removed the problem now being that nearly all rabbit toys you can make or buy include the rabbits having to chew it to get some fun out of it. As mine dont have any teeth i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to any fun things i can give my rabbits that will keep them happy (Balls not included they dont like them) i dont like the thought of them having nothing to play with :/

Paper tunnels or cardboard mazes, things they can push around, dig boxes. Poor little things.

If edible toys are broken up (for example willow balls), they may still be able to pick the small pieces up with their lips and chew it with their back molars, satisfying that need to chew a little bit and provide a tasty treat. Aside from that, toys will need to be more focused on their other capabilities like digging, running, climbing, jumping. How are they doing with eating hay?

Do you cut their hay up for them or they can eat it as is?

Another option is the BB willow leaves: they are yummy and they might be able to chew on the skinny branches.

They can eat it as it is, the only thing they need cutting up is there veggies. i would rather them have something to play with then something to eat :/

One of my bunnies, Milo, doesn’t have teeth either. He’s still actually really fond of ripping up phonebooks, and can grip/tear out the pages with his gums. Of course, this depends on the individual bunny too – whether or not they have interest in this kind of activity. Also, you said your bunnies don’t like balls, but how about treat balls? I give my bunnies dinner through cat treat balls, to make it an interactive activity, and they go crazy “playing” for their food .

Alicepalace: One of my buns had his top teeth removed. Actually they got caught and they cracked so the doctor was able to just pull it out. The great thing about it was he had malocclusion and when his teeth grew back they matched the bottom so no more teeth trims!  Are your buns teeth going to grow back?

I know that you are not looking for treat options- but what if you wad up paper and in the layers of paper put a couple of craisins or other treats that they enjoy and can smell- that should get them interested enough to try to unwad the paper and they can nudge it and use their paws for that.

My first thought was a diggy box also. Do they like to hide? I turned a wicker basket upside down and cut one handle hole opening larger so she can go in and out. The maze haven is perfect for going through tunnels and upper and lower levels. Also, try a ramp up a box and see if they like to climb up and down levels.

What about hanging toys, like the sissel ones that are like vertical blinds that can be run through back and forth? You can check out the Toys section and the photos section to get some non-edible ideas. Sometimes a tossed, crumpled sheet is enough to make a decorating or tunnel project on the floor.
