I went to a pet store I have never been in before and found this:

        http://www.petmax.ca/shop/bedding-light-blue-p-3065.html

It’s shredded paper bedding and I thought it would be perfect for Stormy since he hates blankets and I use shredded phone books for bedding in his house. This will be much easier and nicer-looking and probably offer more padding as the paper is crimped. I haven’t given it to him yet. Has anyone tried it? It comes in Blue, Pink and Natural.  I got him blue since that’s his colour.

I haven’t tried it but they sell it at the Guinea Pig rescue store I help at – make sure you get the one that is not odor control.

Apparently it’s good for gerbils and birds. I’m not sure about bedding because I don’t use anything like that, but it’s worth a try.

Do you use this in his litter box or his cage?

They sell it at petsmart here, but never tried it. I don’t use bedding, except a few folded towels in their hidey boxes (which they ignore in favor of going behind something, weird buns). If he likes shredded paper though, it looks like a nice solution.

I put this in Penelope’s dig box. She seems to prefer these than just crumbled up paper and it’s cleaner than putting litter in it.
