When my rabbit was about four months old ,my roomate found a flea on her cat. I decided to be a good mom and treat my rabbit with flea treatment to be safe. (F.Y.I the flea thing never turned into a problem we never found anymore after that one) So i put the flea treatment on the back on his neck/upper back area and hes about six months old now and his fur on that area is much thinner than everywhere else on his body. I thought, I dont know if its because of the flea treatment, or if thats just the way his fur is? I just wanted to check and see what you all thought.

-its not getting any thinner, its not falling out it just hasnt gotten any thicker since he was treated for fleas, I might just be paranoid but what are your thoughts?

        Thanks

Welcome. What type of flea treatment did you use? Just want to make sure you use the appropriate treatment for your bunny (which it sounds like you did) as some are fatal to rabbits.

As for that area, it usually is thinner and the fur finer than the rest of the fur on their body.

Yeah, I think you’re OK. The spot right behind their ears on the back of the neck is naturally thinner and soft-feeling. I would only be concerned if it was changing.
