        Hi guys

Today I did an experiment to see if Houdini prefered water bottles or water bowls. So I got a small glass (eek) bowl and filled it with water, and marked with level with some tape. Then I marked his current bottle with tape. And we went out to dinner, when I got back half of the water in the bowl was gone and he hadn’t touched his bottle. Sooooo I’m gonna get him a bowl

The question is what type and size? I was thinking of getting a hanging crock….so any suggestions is helpful

I would suggest a heavy ceramic bowl of some sort, one thats too heavy for him to lift. Easier to refill than a hanging one, which could spill easily when you refill it.

get a PAIR of the large quik-lock crocks that bolt to the side of the cage. its like 8-9$ at petsmart.

one for food, one for water,, and youll never have a mess again… and with one of the clear colors you can watch the bunny tongue in action.

I already have a ceramic bowl for his food

Every time he drinks from the bowl, he grooms his face after. Hah

I have a fountain for my bun. He likes to drink from the flowing stream part. But since he can’t see directly in front of his face he has to test where the stream is at with his nose. Which usually induces a little sneezing fit followed by a face scrub. He’s just too cute.

Well, I’m glad YOU did the experiment .  I’ve always wondered.  Now I’ll have to get a bowl too.

I’m a cheapo so I use a glass heart shaped “bowl” I got from the dollar store. I think it’s supposed to be used for potpourri.

There’s also a bottle right above the bowl so they can use either. The bottle is clipped onto the door. When the door is open, they use the bottle more and when it’s closed, they use the bowl more. *shrugs*

Huckles likes the bowl too. When she had a bottle, she always seemed to be uncomfy drinking from it and would get irritated with it not giving enough water. Evenally, I bought a bowl that has a large bottle on it that keeps refilling itself. It has been very handy because now I don’t have to refill her bowl several times a day like I did before. She is a very thirsty bun.
