She’s losing an inordinate amount of hair.  She’s also got these…parts, in her fur.  It’s where her grey gets particularly dark, she’s almost got a downy section separating them…but the downy fur is comping out in clumps.  I get molting, she’s she fur before, but this is getting crazy.

One of four fur balls, this was the smallest (it’s fairly compacted!).  And of course she loves her brush, she’s saying BRUSH ME COME ON MOM!

You can kind of see the two “parts” she has, they span across her bum.  I feel like I’m going to brush her bald!  Has this happened to anyone else?

Bindi is experiencing the same thing. He’s going through a huge molt right now and has patches like you pictured as well as pink, bald spots all over. He looks pretty raggedy (but still cute). I can’t wait till we’re done all the 30 minute grooming sessions. I have a row of bruises on my forearm which is evidence of how much he hates getting groomed.

Yep – Powder is starting his heavy molt as well, clumps of fur coming off him and he doesn’t like me picking at them lol but he tolerates it with the grumpy glares just to let me know how unhappy he is.

Wow a rabbit that enjoys being groomed? How lucky did you get?

Chacha has been shedding since last month. She has a hugemongus part of her back that looks awfully silly – BUT it blends in because she is black furred. She is STILL losing some more fur around that area and her near butt. I see small pieces of fur sticking out so.. I guess that means mommy has to pluck more when I get home tonight from work ><

My Henry looks horrible right now, too. His coat is all different lengths with some nearly bald patches. I have had him for five months and he has never shed before now. I got a Furminator two days ago and I have filled up the bathroom sink with fur the past two days while grooming him. I hope it’s over soon!

I keep telling my bunny he’s homeless because he looks so raggedy! I had no idea bunnies molted like this. Sheesh!!

Momo just finished hers. She does not lose huge chunks. Instead it starts at the back and works down her sides. She looks streaky from where the new hair has come in. I forced her into brushing sessions to help with it.
