Hi there my female rabbit lately has been sneezing she does sneeze a couple of times a few times a day. She just started doing this. I got my rabbit health book out and was researching sneezing they said to look at her nose and see if anything is coming out. Nothing is coming out of her nose and she is very healthy was just at the vet 2 months ago. I thought it could be because her cage had a alot fur in it because she was shedding. So i cleaned her cage and she is still sneezing. Should I contact my vet?

It probably wouldn’t hurt–you could leave a message for the vet tech or vet and see if they think she should be brought in.  I have the same issue.  Olive sneezes sometimes, but nothing suspicious coming from her nose.  I think sometimes a sneeze is just a sneeze.  The fur flying around from the moult could be the problem.

Arthur did the same thing today. Started a sneezing frenzy! However, he is shedding like crazy and had just finished licking himself. I think some got in his nose! Now he knows how it feels when I snuggle him or give him kisses

think about if from a rabbits view point- they are much lower to the floor- is there a scented litter or cleaner that you have used? an area that might have dust? I would pursue that line of investigative thinking to see if that could be an issue. And it is a bit concerning to have frequent sneezing- rabbits will sneeze just like people will- and if it is occasional there is no reason to worry- but if it is often then there must be a reason why.

Comet is a sneezer…I freaked out at first but he has allergies in this area that he must not have had when we were in MN. He’s been to the vet and there’s nothing wrong but he still sneezes pretty frequently!
