I may be going out of town later this summer and would like to have an in-home bunny sitter lined up.  They must be professional and reliable (bonded, etc).  Does any one have any suggestions for a pet sitter in Seattle, WA?

Not from personal knowledge, but I would do a search on the House Rabbit Society’s website in case they have a listing, and if not, search for vets listed there in your area. You can call vets to ask if they know anyone they would recommend. Petfinder.com might also list pet sitters, or local shelters that would know reputable sitters they would recommend as well. (I would stay away from Craigslist, but that’s just my bias.)

She has an appointment with a rabbit-savvy vet on Tuesday for a well-bunny check up and I was intending to ask them.  I too, would stay away from Craigslist.  I might come home to find the house devoid of my possessions.

I agree- I hate CL’s for such a personal thing as a petsitter. But your vet is a GREAT place for a referral- there are often people that work at the clinic that petsit out of their homes- but they are unlikely to be bonded and insured though.

I do realize that this is an old topic, but in case anyone is still interested, I offer bunny sitting in the Seattle area.
