Hello! I posted just the other day about transitioning my bunny from pellets to mostly hay for a healthy diet. My bunny is very chunky and needs to lose some weight. She’s still not eating much timothy hay and seems to not like it very much. I read about Orchard Grass and how it was similar in nutrients to timothy hay. I just bought some and put it down and she ran for it and loves it!!

Is orchard grass ok for bunnies trying to lose weight? And is it safe for that to be her only hay?   Thanks!

Yes, it is perfectly fine for it to be her only hay and it won’t make her gain weight. My last bun was picky and it was the only hay he would eat. With lots of hay, limited pellets and fresh veggies she will slowly get back to a healthy weight. =)
