Have your rabbit(s) gotten their yearly examination?

I just got back from taking Chacha.

She got a clean bill of health  She was not too happy when the vet put her on the scale (she is very sensitive about her lady curves), but nonetheless, is doing great.

Chacha has good teeth, clean ears (I’ve had issues with her ears in the past, but I’m happy to see all has cleared up!!), good muscle tone (her limbs!), clean eyes

The vet even combed her fur to check it. Dr. S said the fur growing in is very interesting (Chacha’s under coat is white, but the fur that grows back in is black.. if that makes any sense!).

Dr. S said that it is great that the apartment is a nice size and she laughed when I said it was my dad that wanted it because of the roomy sunroom for Chacha bun . Dr also told me to give her a picture of her and I together so that she can put it up

Miss Diva is now back home, sleeping in her condo. She was SOOO EXCITED to be back at her home

BTW, She is a curvy 1.8kg, or 4 pounds. Dr. S said it is a good weight for her.

I had a customer at my job that also sees the same vet. She told me that Dr. S is learning about animal chiropractics

I  inquired about senior rabbits and she said when they reach 5, to bring bunny in twice a year. blood work is routine. I’m not sure if I’ll be in the same area 4 years from now, but that is on my agenda for the future.

The vet tech also gave me a number in case there is an emergency. The ER vet has been working with Dr. S very closely for many years. They see rabbits a lot as well. So it is important to have the number and I keep it in my wallet

That’s great! I guess understand Chacha’s disapproval though…vet visits, yech.

I tortured my rabbits with their annual exams in January and February. It will soon be time for another dental exam though for Bobby.

I need to take my bun next month for a check up. I’m not looking forward to it but probably not as much as him! Hope Chacha has forgiven you for the vet visit and not giving you the bunny butt!

Stickers got her check up when she had her spay ordeal and Powder gets to get a checkup soon to see if he’s OK for a neuter… I expect many a ear flat glare from him after that happens. lol Hoping the vet says he’s OK to neuter so I can try to bond him with her, they’ve been kissing through the baby gate and laying against it together and it’s so sad not letting them play.

                Glad Chacha checked out OK
