Does this hay look ok to feed my 10 week old bunny? It was shop brought and she eats loads of it and seems to enjoy it, so that isn`t the issue. Shes pooping fine and everything, but I guess I just worry as people say to get timothy hay and other brands. I`ve asked my boyfriend to pick up some hay from his parents farm, so will be using that from next week too.

What type of hay is it?

It appears to be a grass hay which is fine for bunnies. You don’t have to feed just timothy hay.
A lot of people feed their young rabbit alfalfa hay but it’s good to have them on a grass hay also. Some feed an alfalfa based pellet and grass hay and buns do fine on this.

thats the thing, it doesn`t say on the packet. It just in a clear packet. Thought it was a grass hay, think Im worrying too much as she does eat loads of it and also sits and eats it in her litter box. Will she be ok on grass hay and pellets, or would it be a good idea to feed her a brand hay with this grass hay in her litter box, so she gets some varation?

If she’s showing a liking for it I think it’s ok. Maybe ring the store to find out what it is. Sometimes they repackage stuff they get in bulk. Just be sure it’s not straw sold for bedding as that has little nutritional value. It does look like hay though.
Getting it from a farm sounds like a good plan. Pretty much if the hay is horse quality, then it’s fine for rabbits.
If she’s on a plain pellet (ie, no grains and colourful bits in it) and a hay she likes, it sounds like she’s on a good diet.

shes still on her change over food which looks like just plain browny pellets, which she eats fine. But I`ve ordered the excel junior nuggets to slowly wean her onto. Very happy with her actually, she eats her hay all the time and seems to enjoy it. Well my boyfriends family own a hay farm and they have horses, I asked him if they use pesticides and he said no, so hopefully she will enjoy that too

That sounds great. Can’t get fresher hay then that!

Are you in the UK? I know Excel is a common brand of rabbit food there. I think meadow hay and orchard grass hay is common there also. Both those are fine and enjoyed by bunnies.  Timothy hay is more common in the US but I believe it is grown in the UK also. We don’t have it here in Australia so we mostly feed oat hay.
