Okay, I don’t know HOW this got past me for the last two bags’ worth, but I’ve managed to use the wrong Yesterday’s News for the buns…this one is the fresh scent type. For some reason (probably lack of attention paid or lack of stock and clueless people at pet store) in asking hubby to pick up the last few bags for me, we wound up using this one instead of the unscented. >.< I guess the scent isn't strong enough to alert me, (I put a snootful in my face and I DID inhale...lol), but perhaps Mimzy might be feeling it because he's been a bit more runny in the nose lately. I thought it was either the oat hay he was eating or the sudden cooler temps we had.

I don’t think it’s caused significant damage so far…thank goodness I don’t see anybun eating it either, but it also may be the reason MImz has been throwing his litter box (Pip a bit too for the last month) and peeing outside the box. I usually cover the litter with low quality orchard hay to help keep their bummies dry as well, so the impact may be minimal.

Fiver is having no problem…but he sometimes eats his cecals in the litterbox, definitey he goes through more hay in there. I don’t see any further disruption of his digestion at present. He’s forming wastes well.

We’ll be more careful next bag but…anything else I should be concerned about?

I’ve done this before a few times! The scented kind isn’t horribly strong (and I’m sensitive to scented stuff in general—I don’t mind lightly scented)
In the past most of my bunnies never had a problem with it, but Rucy was not fond of it, and she would go outside of the box. So I ended up getting the unscented kind and just mixed it in to make it even lighter scented. That seemed to work.
