Rabbits are horrible pets… They poop EVERYWHERE….okay not everywhere in two distinct spots. They demand grooming and take food out of your hands or mouth…. They also grow to fast AND they steal your heart.

Today Cadbury (formally angel) shoved her head under mine in what was clearly a groom me now move.  Then after she decided grooming was done she took a piece of apple OUT of my mouth… then out of my hand she ate off my apple.  Shes also now HUGE compared to when she came home… She came home at 200 grams and now she is just under 2 lbs, 1kg.  Shes a eating, pooping, growing machine.  That gets into EVERYTHING .  Oh and you can watch her confidance grow by the minute.

Well, they do a lot of the above, such as the growing fast, stealing your heart, demanding grooming, etc…

But I think they’re marvelous pets! Ours give us joy in nearly every moment, and we can’t be gloomy or blue when I’m with them.

Oh the horrible pets part was sarcasm… I love her to pieces… Just wish I was allowed to eat an apple to myself… the dog wants it or the bunny wants it or the child takes it…. AHHHH. Right now she is grooming her self which means in a second she is going to binky then go laydown on the black area rug and scare the next person who walks by. She is pure black and blends in with EVERYTHING well as you think she is just a shadow if she is being still.

Hannah loves to share my bananas, but she always leaves fur all over it. Haha

They are pretty awesome! I’d love to see pics of her demanding groomies from you.

In the two distinct spots, perhaps that is where bunny is meant to do her business

They do poop everywhere lol. Healthy poopies are nice and hard.

She poops on the back of the loveseat, and in her litter box…. I dont know why she poops on the back of the futon though. Thats really the only place we have accidents now….

I am trying to convince the boyfriend that rabbit poop and horse poop are not like regular poop. They are hard and dry, not gross. He disagrees and gags if I clean up the rabbit poop with my bare hands (I wash with hot water and soap after). I dont see why he figures its gross though lol.

Oh she decided to flop today while I was petting her… She was in her cage, with the door open (She seems to like the cage she goes in to it frequently) and she flopped while I was petting her.

She is very affectionate… and mischevious. Her favorite thing to do is to sit in the shadows or on the BLACK carpet and jump out at you when you walk by. Then you scream and she binkies and eventually flops. Or Chasing the PBGV (dog), thats terrified of the rabbit thats great fun too. She gets the JRT to groom her occasionally which is cute. but she has taken over the living room and our lives. I am tempted to get a spayed rabbit friend, AFTER she is spayed in the next month or so

Lol- she’s adorable- I can see how she would blend in well with the black rug. My bunnies are both black but have white noses, which always give them away when they try to hide :p . OMG- I just noticed that you said she was only 200 grams when she came home- I had a hamster that was 168 grams- lol. That is amazing- she must’ve been SO tiny!
It’s amazing the way they take over your house, heart and life. My house is ridiculous now- as soon as you walk in the kitchen door, there is a series of boxes leading up to their “main house” which is another giant box with holes cut in it. The chairs are arranged just perfectly for the buns to jump from one to the other, and there is a “step” to help them get onto the table. Nobody can sit at the table, since moving the vchairs gives BunBun a little bunny breakdown. We’re contantly stepping on hay cubes and chew sticks, which hurt quite a bit. And the hay… don’t even get me started! It’s everywhere.
Y’know, after she is spayed, I bet Cadbury would LOVE to have a husband to boss around . That way she would have a companion, but no competition for her position as Queen Bun.

He’ll evolve Dave was similar…I’m proud to say we’ve had snowball fights but with bunny poop. We’ve both thoroughly gotten over the ick factor. Should you feel daring, try tossing a handful at boyfriend as orientation lol

my boyfriend gets super angry about the poop too lol. I told him I don’t think they’re gross, and I think they’re cute. I tell him that “bunnies have the cutest poops” and he always replies with “no poops are cute poops” and then we have a silly argument about poop lol.  After having bunnies, I never want to have kids. I think about how lucky I am that the poop is hard and unscented… lol

Funny story…I’m of course an animal person and have had all kinds of yuck on me, in my car, on my clothes etc (Dave is all ‘what is that’-oh that’s horse boogers no biggie)….so I volunteered with kids at a battered womans’ shelter and the lady sends me off with a baby who needs changing…She comes to check and I’m holding naked baby while dry heaving and crying ….Baby poop….is a terrible thing
