The Rabiit Haven and For Other Living Things will be sponsoring BunnyFest 2011 this year at Nordahl Hall in Los Gatos. This is an annual event, and this year is featuring keynote presentations by Dr. Carolynn Harvey DVM and Dr. Ashley Zehnder DVM. We will also have presentations on rabbit grooming and indoor housing options. I will be doing the housing demonstration, including a workshop on how to build a simple NIC condo, so stop by and say hi.
Rescue groups from around the Bay Area will be represented including Save A Bunny, House Rabbit Society, PAWS for San Jose Animal Care Center, Harvest Home, Humane Society of Silicon Valley, Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority, and of course, The Rabbit Haven. Special vendors of rabbit themed items including artist Diane Watt and Kayla Coleman will also be there, and our hosts For Other Living Things.
You can find out more about BunnyFest on The Rabbit Haven's website at http://therabbithaven.org/BunnyFest...60111.html
It should be a fun event. We look forward to meeting you there!
I'll be sure to swing by your table and say hi.
Bunnyfest 2011 was a lot of fun. We had two great rabbit vets there giving presentations, Dr. Carolynn Harvey DVM and Dr. Ashley Zehnder DVM, as well as lots of vendors and recsue organizations. Dr. Harvey took general questions from the audience and Dr. Zehnder gave a presentation about prevention of disease spreading in multi rabbit households. Some pictures from the event, as well as a link to Dr. Zehnder's presentation can be found on The Rabbit Haven website http://therabbithaven.org/BunnyFest...70411.html
We captured video of the two vet presentations. If they came out OK, we hope to post them on YouTube. I will post if we manage to get it to work.
