Has anyone heard of this organization?  I have heard that they take money from people and don’t give it to those that apply for it. I have also placed an order with them and have not heard anything (I didn’t send money yet because they haven’t given me a total or tell me where to send the money).

I also heard that they were on Bunspace and were kicked off. I figure Bunspace must of had a good reason to do that.

I want to support them, and order from them, but want to know if they are a legit organization and maybe what I heard was incorrect.

Thank you for bringing that to everyone’s attention. I don’t like the smell of it :-/ Is there anything that can be done? It is very fishy that they have not written you back about your order.

It is possible that they wrote back and it ended up in the “junk” folder in hotmail, and that my husband accidentally deleted it. But I think they haven’t written back.

I personally would not donate to them in any way, as they have not gotten non profit status. It said they were trying, but that was a year ago. So really, they do not have to give any money given to them through donations or sales to the rabbits they say they help.

I would help an established non profit rescue first.

Do be careful though in using this forum for this kind of thing. Though this does not fall into the witch-hunt rule specifically, the “I’ve heard” can spread rumors, and things can get ugly fast. When looking through their website, they do have a forum, and so you could always post the concerns or questions you have about the products you wanted. It also looks like BusyBunny and “Cats, Rabbits and more” were auction donors, so you contact some of their donors and see if they know more about them.

Some rescues when they first start  out, work under the umbrella of another non-profit until they become established, as it can take time to become official.   That is not uncommon.

If you do find there is a real issue, it’s best to deal with them directly or via an authority type source like the Better Business Borough.

It’s possible that one of the rules for Bunspace is a 501C HOWEVER, as BB pointed out, many non-profits first work under an umbrella OR wait a few years to establish themselves to apply for 501C under the IRS – this DOES NOT mean they are not non-profit in their state. When I started my now defunct group we did not get our 501c for about a year and a half but all of our fosters were HRS educators and worked under their umbrella so definitely do not jump to conclusions about non-profit status.

OK. Thanks everyone. It’s all good information. I was just hoping to find others that have dealt with them, to give them benefit of the doubt. I have no way of knowing if what I heard is true or not. Thanks again.

You can completely delete this thread. I don’t want to cause problems, just wanted to find out the truth.
