i saw a tiny orange worm crawling on my rabbits exercise pen, dont know what kind of worm this is, not sure if its there because of litterboxes or the rabbit itslef but i did see a fly in the room and i need to check if this could be fly strike which i hope not and if its a nessecsity i will take baby to the vet asap but i just got her 2 weeks ago so i dont have a vet established but i do know of one close that deals with rabbits

hi there here you can search for vets in your area http://www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html some might not be on list so you could call around and see if any are experienced with rabbits.

Have you checked her over? Check for damp areas or fur that has poop stuck to it. Are her poops normal round dry bunny poops or more wet and sticky? Young rabbits can over produce the soft droppings they are meant to reingest and flys would be attracted to this.

Change the litter box and give the area she’s in a thorough cleaning. I would go ahead and see a vet. Good idea to have a new rabbit (especially a baby one) checked over anyway. I don’t think anyone here can say it’s definately flystrike or not so just play it safe and have her checked out.

thanks, her poops are pretty dry and shes going normally,i checked her a lil cause shes not too comfortable with me yet but she looked ok,no open wounds or sores or anyhting,i changed the litter boxes and am washing all her blankets right now and am gonna vacuum real good before i put everyhtign back,im just glad i saw the worm on the pen instead of her and the only other good thing is that what i thought was a fly was actually a stink bug,i think the worm was there cause of the litter box, right now i line it with paper and then add the hay,but the paper really gets soaked so i have to change the litterbox more often to make sure i dont see any more bugs

              thanks
