Our baby bunnies have taken to humping each other whenever we let them out to play and run free in our living room.  There seems to be no discrimination either. Thet are all doing it to eac ohter, sometime seven in bizarre version of a “congo line”.

I am guessing (hoping) that this is a normal version of bunny sibling rivalry and they are either trying to determine a pecking order or perhaps just “play acting” in preparation for adulthood.

Any advice or confirmation that this is normal, and will not harm them would be greatly appreciated. As they are still so young, we cannot really tell the boys from the girls, whicj makes separatign them difficult, nor do we want to take away from their mom yet.

Yes, it’s normal, don’t worry and they won’t harm each other at this age.

I agree it’s too young to take them away from mom. Do you have a vet who can sex them for you?

Yes, we have the vet who neutered our male. I also have a coworker who used to breed rabbits while growing up. He has offered to help us with this. I have looked at a lot of online references, including pictures and tried to determine gender myself; however, at not quite 5 weeks, it is still very difficult.

See if you can get an appointment scheduled for the week they turn 8 weeks for sexing. You will then be able to separate them according to sex. They should be okay to be together until about 10 weeks.

Thanks folks. When in their enclosure, they seem to leave each other alone. It is only when they are out running about.

If they are out and about, it could be excitement! Some buns hump around feeding time due to excitement.
