Okay so i use a water bowl for my boy and it never looks like he drinks from it but there is always plenty of pee in the liter box I just worried because it never looks like he even drinks much from it but I guess he is fine since there is plenty of pee?

Does he get a lot of veggies?
I notice a difference with one of my rabbits. When he has more than a cup of veggies a day (spinach, lettuce, peppers, some carrot, cucumbers…), he hardly drinks. When he doesn’t have the veggies, he goes through quite a bit of water.
That may be it and if it is, not a problem at all.

Does he get plenty of hay everyday too? As hay consumption increases, water consumption should increase as well. Keeping him on lots of hay and veggies will ensure water intake. It’s a good idea to leave some of the water from washing on the veggies… As long as his activity level is good and the litterbox has pee and normal-looking poops, I would not worry about how much it seems he drinks. Many people who offer a water bowl will also have a water bottle available, just as a back-up if the water bowl gets spilled and you’re not home.

I’ve noticed that both my buns drink different amounts. Banner drinks a huge bowl of water, but Merry only drinks a wee bit – and trust me, she pees enough Doesn’t hurt to have a backup though!
