         Hi guys…

So I was snuggling with Charcoal in my arms, she was very willing to be cradled like a baby in my arms tummy up. When she fell asleep (eyes closed, no nose twitching), I checked on her underside area. I especially double checked her genitals to make sure I didn’t make a mistake sexing her. Well, she doesn’t have testicles, she’s a she alright…

She has these deep pockets on the side of her genitals. Upon closer inspections, they had a thin very-light colored waxy substance on its walls. I got a small pieces of cotton, moistened it with a bit of water and gently wiped it. Out of curiosity smelled it and peeewheeew…

I’ve seen videos on youtube on how-to’s, but most of them have these dark looking gunk from build up, I wouldn’t want to imagine the smell!

Seriously, does it have to stink that bad? If yes, how often do I have to clean it? Does spaying help with this?

I’m also curious of the chin area, how can I check that/what exactly am I looking for?

I don’t think I would clean her at this young age…

Also it takes 3 1/2 to 4 months for the testicles to descend, so it’s really too soon to tell her sex just based on this.

You shouldn’t have to do anything to her chin area.

My vet told me that not all bunnies need to have their scent glands routinely cleaned.
