I have been reading about the dreaded fur balls and how feeding pineapple or pineapple juice once a day can really help. Does anyone else do this is it a good idea? Also when I got my bun yesterday they said she is overweight being 4.5 ish lbs and a Rex mix they said they only fed her 1/8 a cup of pellet a day then greens twice a day is that a good diet for a year and a half old bun she doesn’t look that big & had bunnies three months ago.

I highly recommend you read this article from a very experienced rabbit vet and she will explain the hairball myth and what to do to help prevent any motility problems:

The advice about weight depends on who told you that, but it’s not an unusual weight for a mini Rex rabbit. I would, however, give her unlimited hay and see that she eats it daily which will help prevent fur balls, keep her digestion working well without needing additional pineapple juice, and help with her teeth. Timothy hay is standard to start with, but many other hays are good too depending on your bunny’s taste preferences. Sweets, in the form of treats, too many pellets, or frequent fruits, will be eaten before the hay and can add to a bunny’s weight.
