Gabby had her spay done over two weeks ago and I need to have her staples removed. I couldn’t take her the last few days because of the severe storms and the couple days before that my child was sick. I was going to take her this afternoon but just found out they are without power due to the tornados and storms that ripped thru Alabama.

Gabby seems to have healed fine and is feeling great and back to her spunky old self. Is it okay to let the staples be there a few more days since she’s not having problems with them or should I try to find a local vet who would remove them? I don’t know if anyone local would see her at all since we have no exotic vets in this area at all. I drive an hour and a half to see the one I have now.

I just want to make sure there would be no health issues with them staying in a little longer than usual.

That should be okay. I would say if you cannot get to the other vet next week see if a local vet would remove them for you.

Thanks, I just didn’t want it to cause any harm since she is healing up so good.
