         Hey everyone,

I know its been FOREVER since I’ve last posted on here!

So today, I get a call from my aunt to come over and change her cat’s litter box because she broke her hand and can’t do it. The people at her apartment are saying that if she doesn’t start cleaning up after the cat, she’s going to have to get rid of it. So i go over to change the litter box and come home with a cat.

On the way home I glanced down and noticed that the cat’s ears are FULL of mites and a couple ticks. I stopped at petsmart and grabbed a ear mite/tick thing for cats as well as some supplies. I’d also like to note they had small pet stuff on clearance, and Lulla is now busy destroying it all.

I researched ear mites in rabbits online and I noticed that rabbits get a different kind of mite that is bigger than what dogs and cats get. My question is, should I be worried about Lulla (my rabbit for those of you who don’t remember me) getting the mites? I haven’t allowed the cat around Lulla, and Lulla’s been in a compeltely seperate room from the cat since I’ve brought her home. I have no intention of letting them meet each other until the mites/ticks have been cleared. This just happened tonight so I have not yet took the cat to a vet to get rid of the mites. I took a couple ticks out myself, but was unable to get a couple that were deep down and I’m not sure that I even got the heads of the ticks out.

        Anyone know anything?

        Stacy

Mites, no, ticks, maybe. I’m not at all sure what gets rid of ticks.

For mite you can use Revolution for rabbits.
