What time do you give your bunnies their pellets and vegetables?

Until recently, I gave veggies at night and pellets in the early afternoon. However, it was getting too tiring for me to make a salad when I was exhausted. I switched to giving veggies in the morning and pellets in the afternoon.

I’m just curious what other BBers do with their bunnies.

Half the pellets in the morning, veggies around dinnertime, and half pellets at bedtime. I tried to time it to their active times and before the long night…I figure they don’t need afternoon food because they are sleeping anyways, lol. Plus, they always have hay.

I split all veggies and pellets between my morning and evening feedings – usually 7am and 10pm

Omg, don’t get me started on HOW MUCH HAY my bunnies eat.  It’s great that they love hay so much, but I swear I give them about 5 huuuuge handfuls each day, and they always manage to run out in between.  More hay –> more poop…lol.

I really need to regulate how often I’m feeding Zelda. It’s been at random times because I’ve been busy with college. She always has hay though, she never seems to run out. But damn does she love pellets!

General Scooter Beans is spoiled! He gets greens morning, usually mid afternoon, and before lights out. After his greens, we leave him alone for about 5 or 10 minutes while he uses the litter box and then he gets a small amount of pellets.

However, he has ‘trained’ us to give him pellets pretty much on demand. He goes into his nighttime bungalow and sits up by his food dish until we notice him, then he runs out to where we are and looks all around to see if we have more pellets for him, if we don’t, he goes back into his house and tries again! He’s so cute I just can’t say no.

Pellets first in the morning. (1/4 cup) in a separate dish to stay dry.

Then fresh water and wet veggies in AM.

                                  Veggies again at 5PM.

Replenish hay as needed, mostly at night before bed.

1/4 cup of pellets at 6:30 am…they are little devils about this feeding time on the weekends! lol It’s when I usually get up for work during the week but I hate that I’ve gotten them so used to this when they are SO noisy on the weekends until I get up and feed! haha. 1/4 cup of pellets when I get home from work (ideally around 5:30 but sometimes with this job I work late so it can vary a little) and then lots of veggies before bed around 10ish They always have hay to munch on too!

Oh and they get a couple of craisins either before I go to work or when I get home Occasionally I trade these for a teensy bite of banana or apple but they lovvvvvve their craisins!

We are pretty much a pelletless house due to Jack’s medical issues. So I feed greens mid morning and and in the evening around 7pm
