Why is that my litter trained bunny wants to pee on the couch whenever he jumps up on it. I really want him to be able to cuddle with us up here but it always seems like after about 5 minutes up there he pees so I have not let him up there after the 4th time he did it. Anyone else have this problem or suggestions?

          Is he neutered?
He may be marking his territory …

Also, a lot of rabbits do not like to be cuddled.. only a select few do, lol.

Yes he is neutered and we don’t try to cuddle him he comes to us which is often lol hops in your lap to be petted but he likes to sit and lay by us too and he would probably lick us to death if he could lol

Before Gabby got spayed she would pee on my couch when she came to visit me on it. One of my dogs was sitting near me and she peed right on his foot and on the couch. I’m waiting for her spay site to heal up and hopefully she will quit peeing on the couch.

Sometimes even after being altered they still want to mark beds and couches. They smell rather strongly of humans, and not them

Yeah, I think it’s just one of them things. I’m trying to break Zelda’s habbit of pooping in the sofa. Yesterday she peed right beside me.

You could try putting him in the litterbox right before you think he’s going to pee, that could help?

It’s a hard problem to crack, this couch/bed marking. Mine can go months without doing it then out of the blue they will.

Uggh yeah I have this problem as well. My two boys are getting neutered next month so I’m hoping it will help. I’ve had to pretty much ban them from the living room unless I am directly supervising them because they immediately jump on the couch and mark it like crazy. I think it’s because it smells of humans and of my two doggies. Our couch is brand new and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had it cleaned all ready. All for the love of buns. Haha.

Jack used to be a big couch marker and so he is not allowed on the couch unless I am there and can closely supervise. Though now he knows he’s not allowed to pee on the couch he has no interest in going up there. It’s been years since I have seen him even show any interest to jump up on the couch in the living room. There is one in the bunnyroom that he will go up on periodically, but I have a plastic runner(lovely)that covers up the area he is most likely to pee.
