My Female rabbit  named Babe who is now 8 months is not spayed but she is biting everything and she has been biting her own back for and now she has scars and bumps on her back, she isnt pregnant because my male rabbit was neutered 2 months before i baught her. She is pulling all of her hair out aswell , what can i do? My vet said to keep her away from my male rabbit Toby and we are trying too .. we even have a hutch on order for her to stay in for a while , but it doesnt make a diffrence because she is pulling her own hair out and she has soo many bald, scared and bumpy paches its horrbile.

        Thanks if you can help

        Molly

It sounds like a false pregnancy. When are you going to get her spayed?

I agree with Sarita. Just being in the presence of a male rabbit can trigger a false pregnancy. All you can really do is just wait this time out and get her spayed ASAP to prevent this from happening again.

If she had been spayed her hormonal behavior would have diminished, but though she can’t get pregnant by him, she still has the urge. Even solitary bunnies can take to making a nest for a false pregnancy before they get spayed. She will feel better and be safe from cancer once you have her done.
