Well, I trimmed bunny toenails by myself for the first time!  They did not appreciate it in the slightest, especially Kate.  But it actually did not take very long at all, about twenty minutes for both of them.  The only blood that was shed was my own when Kate freaked out and tried to climb up my chest to escape the bathtub. My chest actually does look a mess right now, lol.  I’ve never actually heard either bunny thump before, but I think Kate did when I had Spence in bathroom without her.  But I’m still proud, I didn’t make either of them bleed so, I say, it was a good day of nail clipping.  I’m quite excited that this worked out as I will be living alone again starting in August, and won’t have help.  So it’s an accomplishment.

          Congrats!

I get clawed up just holding Lolli sometimes. lol I still can’t do her on my own. I can’t seem to get her to not fight. Maybe I’ll try the bathroom as she hates the bathroom.

*pats on back* It’s such a chore when they don’t like it, but still one that has to be done! That is awesome you can do it yourself now and will not have to take them to the vet or groomer!! I can relate to the war wounds-one on my chest was so deep (from a friends evil bunny!) my physician noticed the scar much later and was worried! I was like ‘oh that’s one of many rabbit scars!’ heheh

I make it a real chore by doing the whole crew on one day with a dog bath…sucker for punishment! lol

Haha, when I was a kid my parents always had at least one lab. And of course they loooooooved the water. If you took them from a walk and they so much as sensed a pond or stream nearby, they drag you to it so that they could go swimming. But when it came to taking a bath (usually because they insisted on diving into a muddy pond or stream), it was torture. They’d plant their feet on the edges of the big tub and whine. So pitiful.

And I’m thrilled I don’t have to take them to the vet anymore, not only did I have pay for that but I don’t have a car and had to pay for a cab both ways! And when I asked my boyfriend to help, he felt too bad about how much they clearly didn’t like it to get any nails cut. lol.

Yay!! I recently did it for the first time as well, so I completely know how proud you must feel. I’m impressed that you did it alone too!
