My bunnies are about 5 mos. They get unlimited timothy hay and about 1 cup of veggies a day. They get the little alfalfa cubes too.

I want to switch to a better pellet. Which Oxbow should I get? Since bunnies are so hard to transition with food I’m tempted to go with the adult so I don’t have to switch them again in a few months.

        Thoughts or advice? Thanks!

It’s probably safe o switch to the oxbow timmy pellets for adults, especially since it takes a month to transition anyway. No sense in doing it twice! My Monkey was on the adult formula from day 1 with me, she hated the alfalfa stuff.

I was told to switch to adult pellets as soon as the vet that spayed my bunny saw her at 6 months! I think that is a good age, 5 months. Be sure to slowly transition. Some rabbits have iron bellies, some dont

You can switch to the tim pellets. If you want, you can still do some handfuls of alfalfa hay, along with tim hay.

Thanks everyone. I was just about to place an order for a 10lb bag and wanted confirmation from here first.

My male bunny is getting neutered next week so maybe the vet was going to tell me to switch anyway. I have to wait until 6 mos to get the female spayed though, that’s just their policy.

Yes, I like the Bunny Basics T as a staple pellet from that age on. Good luck with the neuter, and keep us posted.
