  I really need some good suggestions on combs. I’ve got a baby brush which sucks, and a cat brush that also sucks lol…. I am wondering about those slicker brushes, but am unsure if it wouldbe too harsh for a rabbit.

  I second mocha200’s suggestion of the hairbuster – nothing traps and absorbs excess hair like the hairbuster. I use a comb with rotating tines through the fur to ease out tangles, which it does beatuifully, before using the hairbuster, which I then hold it at an angle and also sometimes, hold the hair being brushed near and toward the animal’s body to prevent it from pulling at their skin. I have double-mained lionhead rabbits, and this combo really works for us.

  I just used it on mocha yesterday and I got more fur off then I thought possible. I didn’t even know he was shedding that bad.

  I have a Furminator for small animals, and it does wonders. It’s super efficient and gets the under coat so you aren’t there all day. At first glance the teeth look sharp but in fact that have rounded edges and don’t hurt the bunny at all. It’s a bit spendy though, I got mine as a Christmas gift and now I can’t live without it.
