I have a newly bonded rabbit now, but one of them  who has a sensitive tummy is eating Oxbow and will get diarrhea if I give the other pellet. The other rabbit is just picky and won’t eat the Oxbow and won’t eat anything but Kaytee. So they were on different pellet brand before they were bonded. But now, they are ready to be placed together, and I’m wondering how am I still going to give them their ordinary pellet without risking my rabbit with the sensitive tummy? I tend to leave pellets in their playpen. Should I force the other one to eat Oxbow too, I tried that once before and she just won’t change her mind and will just eat hay instead. I really want them to be able to stay together and want to solve this pellet problem real quick. Any comments or ideas is so welcomed.

are the kaytee pellets alfalfa based? If so, that could be why your bun is refusing the oxbow. You can switch that bun over by slowly replacing part of the pellets, doing 1/4 oxbow, 3/4 kaytee one week, 1/2 oxbow, 1/2 kaytee the next, etc.. until it is all oxbow. your bun will get used to it

I would try that, but I have one more suggestion. In order to avoid the bad pellets, put them in a sealable tupperware type container, and feed them to the bunny who likes it directly. Keep it away from the other bun. Once the Oxbow is introduced and becauses the norm, you can go back to open pellet dishes for both together.

hey guys thanks for the suggestion. i know feeding kaytee brand is not ideal, so i have to manage to change to better pellets, so far i’m feeding them seperately, and hoping to feed them both oxbow. for now i’ll just enjoy playing with them together.
