Hi can anyone tell me where they buy Bene-Bac if they are in Canada, or where I can order it? I've just been advised of this medication and it's not available here in Newfoundland. I've been looking online but I'm not sure which one to buy for my mini-lop rabbit. Is this the stuff I'm looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Bene-Bac%C2%A...4FY ?

Thanks

I would ask the veterinarians in your area to find one who will order it. It is also used in dogs so the vets should be able to order it even if they are not specializing in rabbit medicine. Or, contact the manufacturer to see if they have a supplier in the Maritimes that you can order from.

I've found a canadian website (petonly.ca) that has the kind for dogs but apparently this is okay to give to buns? Anyway, I asked them about the small animal bene-gel and they're going to try to order it in. In the meantime I'm going to order the doggie version since I've heard it's safe. Do you happen to know anything about this?

The dog version in the tube is the one I've always used.

I thought too that there was only one formula for all animals.

If you check the ingredients, they are all about the same, except maybe the bird but are packaged differently.

How much do you give your buns?

I get the little tubes and give one to my BunBun once a week during normal times- every 3 days when he's on antibiotics. It seems to work and he loves the taste- I squeeze it onto a spoon and he licks it right off.
