So Franz was sweet and friendly, not scared at all, looking around and stuff. No dogs bothered him he was popular! I had him in his new vest which is great and he was happy and never struggled once.

The doc said his balls dropped so he’s a buck now! She gave him antibiotics for his sneezycoughs (sulfatrim?) and did a butt swab and said he had some protozoa… But that all rabbits can have some in the opening there but nothing bad unless too many Protozoa. He had some diarrhea right after The visit but before we left and the do got it for a wet mount to chichi for parasites or whatever’s causing it.

She said we were great bunny parents and are doing everythig right, and that we’re both very well read on our bunny. Also she sai she was happy to see we were clicker training him :p

I took him for a longish walk outside the clini in the grass and he hopped along the length of the hospital three times:p so cute and well behaved!

Tonight when I got his medicine out I thought it was going to be hard to give it to him; he snubbed the butternut squash treat and e was on that syringe like a crack addict lol his ears were straight up an he sucked it down and I let him lick the syringe after :p

It’s funny how popular bunnies are at the vet! Everyone comes over to see my buns when I bring them to the vet. I get lots of bunny-related questions. I guess most vets don’t get a lot of buns.

Haha! Puff puff! I think I forgot to mention the vet said he’s not healthy enough to schedule a neuter. She said to call and talk to her when we think his issues are clear up.

protozoa?  did the vet say coccidia?  Is so there are some steps that you should do to prevent recontamination like keeping the litterbox and pen very clean.

Yep! I washed everything and replaced all of his litter. I took off the cardboard in his cage for now so that the poops fall through. His litterbox has wire over it so his poops fall through as well. He usually poops then picks it up and eats it lol so I want to minimize this. I’m going to go through and remove all the poop every day. The vet is calling me tomorrow to tell me when the medicine is effective and the parasites die so I can sanitize everything and avoid recontamination. He’s getting another sample taken in a few weeks to make sure it’s gone. I’m going to get him a checkup at least every year after this anyway to make sure it doesn’t come back. Also I’m going to email the breeder because he definitely had all this crap before we got him
