I noticed some redness In Franz’s eye earlier. His other eye is just tan there. It seems brighter now! The pic is from my phone but you can see it. Is that an injury or the start of an infection? His appointment for a checkup is on 2 November. Also the checkup is 115 dollars!

Might be an irritation from hay, dust or his fur. You can wipe it for him with a warm wash cloth or some saline. Most rabbits like having their eyes groomed.

If me, I’d just observe for now and get it looked at for the appt next week. If it worsens, swells, causes pain then try get him seen before the weekend.

Alternatively, you could just see if you can have your check up appt moved forward now if that gives you peace of mind.

oh my.i hope your bunny would be fine. Check-ups can be expensive most especially with us exotic pet owners.vets in our city cost $100 per visit so i have to go to another city for a cheaper, better vet for just $50 per visit.

My Chace is a rew so i have no idea on how to check for any irritation from his eyes.=.=

I have some sterile gauze and saline… I will wipe it a little.

Jersey’s advice is spot on. I would move the appt. up if you can, otherwise, proceed as she suggested.
