          i dont think they do.as long as they have a very good diet that can supplement them with all the nutrients they need,they should be fine without those salt/mineral licks.

          I personally would not give my bunnies that most especially the salt lick because i dont want their tummy getting messed up from too much salt.my bunny Chance chomps on everything-good or bad so that will definitely mess her up in my opinion.

            Nope, they don’t. They will get the minerals they need from a diet of quality pellets, hay, and veggies.

              I’ve heard of bunnies on special diets who needed a little salt, but if you have a healthy house rabbit, they’re probably getting their minerals/salt from their regular diet.

              I seem to remember reading somewhere that salt and mineral licks are mainly designed for breeding rabbits and bunnies who don’t have a healthy diet.

                Agreed wiith Fluffy, a rabbit on a pellet-free diet e.g. would need a little salt

                  i was wondering if i should get one for lulu because she licks every thing! she licks wood, blankets, the floor, me, mocha….. so i thought it i got her one maybe she would stop. should i?
