         my bunny is losing fur in big chunks on his back and i dunno what to do. do i brush it? do i bring him to the vet?

          does he have bald patches, how big? Is he itchy or scratching? What does his skin look like? Some rabbits loose fur in big chunks during their molts. It is a good idea to take him to the vet though to find out what it is if you are not sure. There are parasites that can cause fur-loss and they need to be treated by a vet.

            Is he a lone bun or one in a pair? If he has a friend, is that friend neutered? Some buns on hitting puberty will groom the fur on their mate’s back until they’re bald: Oxo did this to Bisto with mine. It’s called barbing and requires neutering.

              Hmmm definitely need more info…like the others asked for.

              Could be shedding, could be mites, could be other skin infection, could be neurotic overgrooming by himself or a partner, could be an injury to name a few guesses….Do you have pictures you could post as well?
