I’ve been suspicious of Bindi’s ears for the last couple of days so I was thinking about taking him to the vet before I go on my trip (Thursday to Sunday I’ll be in Quebec). Hopefully it will be nothing and I can have a nice relaxing time. This afternoon I saw a large wad of cecals (similar I think to what Hugo has been experiencing in another thread). I cleaned them up and then found a couple more piles within an hour. His butts all goopy. I can’t think what this would be. No diet changes today, same veggies he’s used to, lots of hay. He’s still eating, wanting treats, etc. He’s going in tonight to see the vet.

Wish us luck! I am praying I won’t have to cancel my trip! But more importantly, I want him to be okay, ears and otherwise. Ricky will be home to take care of him but if it’s something serious I won’t leave my baby. He needs his Mama.

Keep us updated. I’d hate for you to miss going to Quebec.

Maybe he senses that something will be different soon and he got poopy butt.    Then again maybe not .  A vet visit sounds like a good idea.

I hope he will be ok and you can enjoy your trip

Back from the vet. She said the goopy poo was likely the same thing that causes his tummy upset when he gets stasis but he ate enough fibre to expel all the bad bacteria stuff. No veggies until tomorrow night, just in case. He’s gonna be mad at me!

One of his ears has a bit of bacteria in it and she gave me some ointment. I caught it very early so it’s not too bad. I’ll just have to show my bf how to apply the drops.
