  Ok, so Hatter was never one for being petted. I have been working with him going on 4 months and all of a sudden last night he came over to me, nudge me, I went to pet him and he just sat there taking in the ear and cheek rubs and let me pet him until my arm was tired! I was in shock…but quite happy. I tried the same thing this morning and he just soaks it all in!
  
  It’s almost like something finally clicked in his head and went “OH! This is the woman who feeds, cleans up after me, loves me, is patient with me and defends and protects me….YEAH, this is GREAT!”
  
  Silly buns…I just hope this isn’t some weird couple of times thing….OH! and FYI….he has been acting completely normal and eating very healthy…so I know it’s not because he’s sick! HAHAHA

  That is great Hatter, and I know it feels so good. After 4 years I’m so happy Daisy will sit still and let me run his forehead with one finger!

  Monkey has been letting me pet her after giving eye drops It’s weird, by great lol.

  I remember when Pepper discovered that she liked pets. She HATED having her head touched at first – probably because she had an undetected but raging ear infection at the time.
  
  But one day I started gentle headpets and she started to jump away, but stopped and started to pancake. Then she jerked her head up, looking startled, and then started to settle again. It was CLEARLY “HE! Don’t you DARE TOUCH…..oooo…that’s kind of…I mean HEY STOP….ooo mmm aaah”

  I think that is always a super special moment, when we’ve got through the hormonal, and earned their respect and trust. Grats!
  It took me over 6 months to get my Minilops trust, and my ‘bag-bunny’ Ani does the whole “don’t touch me i hate you! … don’t stop… happy teeth grinding” every evening with me LOL heh heh I know she loves her momma :p
