I am wondering how many of us use them and how often you crash through them.

I am now using a bird cage I took apart.  It is about 1 1/2 feet tall or maybe even 2 ft.  I think.   We still hit our feet on it.   Once it fell over with me on top of it dumping Cottons litterbox all over the floor

And it isn’t as tall.   Thats what gets me.   Are we that clumsy?  lol

LOL I am super clumsy and actually fractured a rib soon after getting Pacey when trying to step over a baby gate and it was only like 18″ tall! I fall over them constantly and end up with bruised legs, hips, chin, etc.

          I loathe them =P

I keep one at my parent’s house to block off visiting. I am gearing up for hurricane season, so may need it again.
I just can’t climb over it. Spockie eventually learned to push it on one corner and slip through, but it took him years to get to that point.

You might try to find a better gate, with suction for the doorway, at Goodwill. People are always giving baby stuff away that’s in great shape just because they are coping with an adolescent, who still needs one but is too tall.

I actually got a bifold closet door,  sawed it in half, and installed it in the doorway of the computer room.  It’s open at the top for ventillation but easy top open one-handed for access

HJ has one at his place to keep Odie from getting at Ben when they’re not supervising. I’ve spent the last 4 days there, and tripped over it constantly. Luckily, it’s stayed in place and never done it while we’re carrying the litterbox. It’s not that tall either. I think it’s just because we’re clumsy.

I have a wooden one (my bunny doesn’t chew at, strange huh?) that prevents my bunny from going up the stairs to the front door/kitchen.

I am always running into it, or hitting my knee or shin.

                  Ouch.

Perhaps I’ll take my dad’s way of doing it and lifting it and putting it back down.

Oh I’ve face planted a few times climbing over the baby gate…I didn’t pick my leg up high enough lol. I didn’t have to use one before in my room, Indy won’t leave my room but Bee is Miss Adventurer so I have to now. I also have one at the bottom of the staircase to keep the dogs upstairs when I’m doing bunny stuff downstairs. They are pretty handy and sturdy. I’m 5’9” – tripping and falling all over them and they stay put lol.

OH good now I don’t feel so bad.  lol

We had a real baby gate but was hard to go over. This bird cage one is way shorter but we still hit our feet on it sometimes going over the top.

I am tempted to use the xpen there now and open it instead of hurdling.  But this seems alright.

OH we found a whole bunch of nic cubes being thrown out  a whole huge bunch.  Took them home.  I wonder if I could put that up instead if Cotton would jump over them.  They are shorter than the bird cage wires.

So we have a whole group of clumsy people here eh?    tehee oops
