Bun get’s a real name?

Wow. So I really like that little video of the Love Story witht he little dwarf Trudi. I’ve had Bun a year now and never liked her “real” name Crystal. So I just called her Bun, I was close to calling her Plumeria – “Plum Bun” but that hasn’t worked really.  I really like the name Trudi, I think it’s really cute. Can Bun be Trudi Bun? I hate to be such a copy cat but I don’t know it fits. What do you guys think?

She looks more like a Plum (not Plumeria though) because she’s so round and cute than Trudi. I kind of like Plum Bun, it’s original.

I just thought the name is so cute and she does deserve a fuller name than Bun, I have never been happy not being able to name her fully. Not that Bun is a terrible name but it’s very original and I like to come up with cool names.

Of course, that might be because Mr. Bunny’s first name is Bunbun…

I think Plum Bun really suits her.

Well Plum Bun is more cool than Trudi in my opinion. Of course I have a rabbits named Mango, Peaches, Peppermint and Toffee, I guess I just like food.

Since you are calling her Plum Bun which reminds me of Plum Wine you could call her Ume – I looked up the name for Japanese plum wine and it’s Umeshu which sounds a little hard to say. Ume is some kind of Asian plum.

I actually wasn’t calling her Plum Bun, just always Bun. It was just something I think Jersey came up with for me. Trudi is just so cute and they are both dwarves and I don’t know I really like that name for some reason.

I think you should ask Bun.
Hang out on the floor with her just playing around, then call her Trudy. See how she responds. You can try calling her Plum, just for comparison of reactions to a new name. Then just call Bun.

I’m saying this because I had a hard time deciding on Spockie’s name, but when my nephews named him, then called him for the first time, he ran right over. It was so cute, and he always knew his name. (Which is actually J. S. Spock, and he knew his whole name, too. Johann Sebastian Spock.)

i would definetly agree with trying to call her the different names. when naming lunar , back when he was thought to be a girl, i was going to name him celest and everytime i called the name, would thump the foot so i tried luna and no thump but now that he is a he…it was changed to lunar and he seems to like it still.

they have their own ways of telling you their name!

I like it.  Trudi with Attitude.  At the end of the day it’s gotta be something you think fits and she likes of course.
You could compromise between Trudi and Plum Bun and go for Tutti Frutti !

One thing’s for sure, she is definately not “Crystal”. I never knew that was her old name.  Thanks for the pics, she’s so cute!

Yup, her registered name is “Randy’s Crystal” and she is originally from Illinois lol…..how she finally got to California I will never know.

I will try talking to her on the floor tonight and see what she reacts to.

Chacha doesn’t answer to her given name when I say it. She is like “Who is this Koucha?” or just ignores me.

I agree with Sarita, I like Plum Bun! (I’ll probably offend an entire group of people with my next remark… lol) but there’s something about her that makes me think “Oriental”, so I think Plum is a great name that fits her. She doesn’t look like a Trudi to me.

Well I hung out with her last night and she completely ignored anything I was saying to her. She was way too busy exploring a new area where furniture was moved and claiming it with poops. I tried putting down 2 pieces of paper with Trudi and Bun and she ignored both lol.

I think that if her official name were Trudi, then bun, Plum, and Plum Bun would be fine nicknames.

I call Tank bunbun, and piggy, and brat, and ingrate all the time. None of those are really his name. His name is Main Tank (frequently shortened to Tank or mt, depending on who I am talking to) but… you get the idea (;

She may really look grumpy…but at least she lets me hold and pet her (even tho that little face looks dissaproving) and Bee wants nothing to do with being picked up or held. Truidibun is kinda sweet :p
