I haven’t taken really taken many newer pics, but I thought I’d do a little photo gallery for some of the newer folks who haven’t seen many pics of my two.

Max.  Lop (mini?)  Adopted June 2008.

Rescue pics.  (Looking back, he looked rough.  This is proof that appearance isn’t everything when adopting.  They’re only going to look better when you get them home and cleaned up and on a consistent schedule/diet.)

Relaxing within 24 hours of getting home.

Look at them! They make such a perfect pair. I love the first picture of Meadow – that’s pure rabbit mischief!

I never noticed before, but it looks like Max has some brown on his nose and behind his ears. Is he a black otter?

They’re so cute! Thanks for posting pics. I love your matching pair.

They are amazing. I’m so thankful every single day for both of them. Max is still weary of us. But the fact that Meadow loves him and he loves Meadow, that’s all that matters to me.

Yes, Max has a brown mustache and brown fur right behind his ears. I love it. And Meadow isn’t true black… she’s more of a dark charcoal gray. So they’re not a perfect matching pair.

That was going to be my next question. Sometimes she looks black, and others she looks grey. Either way, they’re so cute. I love the smushed up snuggling pics

Within the course of the pics I posted, we went thru about 4 different cameras and camera phones… so the color/quality varies. But in *real life*, she’s a dark charcoal color.

Yeah. I haven’t posted many pics in a long time b/c I either didn’t have time, or it didn’t fit into whatever we were discussing. So that’s why I started them a thread, esp. for newer folks who aren’t familiar with my pair.

This was a funny pic.  I woke up early morning to get ready for school and I switch the light on and they’re both sitting on top of this rickety box that’s so chewed up, it’s about to cave in under their combined 9 pounds.  Grabbed my phone real quick and snapped the picture.

I’m so glad you were able to do this Beka. We’ve been spoilt today!  I’ve been visiting BB (often! ) since early 2008 but I don’t think I had seen some of these pics of Max&Meadow.

Once of this things I truly liked in these pics was seeing Max’s feet go from dark yellow to white.

And of course the snuggle pics.

YEAH!  As you saw from his first rescue pic, the rabbits were in a “warren-like” setting and were allowed paytime in a pen outside on nice days (the ground was mostly dirt.)  At night, they were housed indoors in pens.

So he was a dirty boy when we brought him home.  His first experience of our house was being in the bathtub with an inch of water to get the bulk of the dirt and pebbles out from between his toes!  And it took at least 3-4 months for the yellow/brown fur to shed out.  Now he looks like he’s never been outside a day in his life.  And he’s gained about half a pound since being with us.  He was a little more on the lean side before, I think from having to share food with so many bunnies.

I forgot to mention this… Sunday of this week (June 6th) was his 2 year anniversary with us!

do you have a room for them? do they get free-range exercise? I am just curious.

Yeah, they have a bunny room! Now it has our computer desk too, but everything is proofed. They get free-range thru out the day of the bunny room/hallway/living room… If we’re going to be gone longer than a few hours, I’ll baby gate them into the bunny room. And they go in the pen at night.

I love, love, love our xpen set-up!!! It’s configured in the 4 by 8 foot rectangle, so even if they are penned up a little bit more some days, I’m not concerned. I’ve thought about reducing the space to one xpen since they’re really only caged at night, but I prefer knowing they have too much space than not enough. And more often than not, even during the day when they have “free roam”, they can be found lounging in their pen or somewhere else in the bunny room where all their boxes and toys are.
